Volunteering opportunities

There are lots of ways you can get involved

Practical task group

Join our practical site management sessions at local nature reserves – a great way to meet new people, keep fit and enjoy the outdoors.

No experience necessary and tools and training are provided.

We meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at either Standlake Common or Rushy Common Nature Reserves.

For more information about volunteering please contact: lwvp@oxfordshire.gov.uk

Event support

We run a small number of events throughout the year and are always looking for enthusiastic helpers to lend a hand!

Bird record data entry

Every month we collect hundreds of bird records from our two nature reserves so keeping on top of the data can be quite a task. If you’re able to spend an hour or two a week entering records, or even help with some analysis we’d love to hear from you. Data entry could take place in our office in Kidlington or at home if preferred.
