Introducing the Locality and Community Support Service

Published 20 April 2017

On 1 March the new Locality and Community Support Service, EET and Family Solutions Service came into operation.

How you report safeguarding concerns has changed, for further information about Locality and Community Support Service please see here:  20171028 LCSS Communication for Partners.

The Early Help Assessment, Team around the Family and Threshold of Needs has also been reviewed and redesigned (replacing the CAF and TAC). The documents you need can be found  here.

To be able to use the new Early Help assessment  and Team around the Family (EHA/TAF) paperwork you should access training. The Locality and Community Support Service (LCSS) is rolling out this training which is supported by the OSCB and can be found following this link.

Your safeguarding policy will need to be updated to reflect changes and there is a draft safeguarding policy for Early Years providers and childminders on the Early Years toolkit.

Please sign up to the OSCB newsletters and the Early Years newsletter/Facebook page to ensure you are kept up to date of all changes.
