Information about how to apply for a driver or passenger assistant school badge

If you work for an approved Oxfordshire County Council provider, or are a manager/owner of a company providing transport, the following documents provide information and guidance around how to obtain badges for drivers and passenger assistants to work on our transport contracts. The documents on this page are listed as follows and are linked below. 

New DBS User Guide and FAQs including useful contacts (pdf format, 692Kb) – This is a comprehensive guide with a step by step process of how to obtain and OCC school badge, a frequently asked question section, and key contacts section. Please refer to this guide before contacting the Transport Hub.

New Document Guidance (pdf format, 288Kb) – Information on what documents an applicant needs to present when applying for their DBS. Please read this guide carefully before applying for an update service check, or attending an office appointment to make your online DBS application.

Requesting Renewal or New DBS Application Form (docx format, 15Kb) – Please use this application form if you are a manager or owner of an approved OCC transport provider. This must be send to the relevant contact within the transport hub to request a new or renewal application for an OCC badge

Safeguarding Training Course Manual (pdf format, 372Kb) – This guide contains all information taught to applicants during their safeguarding training session. This includes details and key contacts on how to report a safeguarding alert, and how to contact the relevant department of the transport hub.
