An innovative plan to keep Oxford open for business during heavy rainfall was unveiled today.  Oxfordshire County Council contributed £59,000 towards the scheme which enables Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service to pump water underneath Botley Road.  When the road has flooded previously, drivers had to manoeuvre over ramps as the fire service worked at the side of the road.
