Services in Oxfordshire

Local services in Oxfordshire are provided by various organisations:

  • public sector
  • voluntary and community
  • private.

Working together

Oxfordshire County Council needs to work effectively at a county and cross-border level with police, the NHS, education providers, and other public agencies. Equally, the county council must work closely at a more local level with district, town and parish councils.

To enable this, the public sector as a whole needs a clear framework for partnership working. This is provided by the Oxfordshire Partnership. The Oxfordshire Partnership's vision will be delivered through a framework of strategic (countywide) and local partnership working.

Oxfordshire 2030

The county council led the development of Oxfordshire 2030, a long-term strategic vision for the county often referred to as a Sustainable Community Strategy. A wide range of partners are involved in this strategy. The strategy provides a shared direction for partners working in the area.
