More training and jobs support

Providing support to people with disabilities to get training and jobs.

Mencap, the UK's largest learning disability charity, has created a programme of support to help people with a learning disability to get a job.

The Employ Me package is made up of:

  • pre-employment support - training individually or in small groups to develop the skills needed to get a job
  • work trials and placements – an opportunity to experience work and develop skills in a real work environment
  • support to find paid work – help to search for a job as well as write a CV and help with interview skills
  • job coaching and in-work support - help to learn the tasks of the job and get used to the workplace (also includes travel training).

Telephone 01865 849646 for more information about this service.

If you would like details about Mencap’s other services in your area, please telephone Mencap Direct on 0300 333 1111 or email
