Crafts adult learning courses

Develop your creativity with our crafts courses.

Needle and thread

Our tutors inspire both beginners and improvers to learn new skills and create imaginative pieces, using materials such as clay, silver, glass and recycled and found materials.

Jewellery, ceramics and stained glass are still firm favourites, and learners are amazed at what they can achieve.

New for 2013/14 – Stained glass microwave fusion

Sewing is fashionable again, promoted by television celebrities and the growth in retro-chic in high street stores.

In response to demand we are offering a whole spectrum of workshops and courses, from beginners wanting to know how to use a sewing machine or learn to read a commercial pattern, to dressmaking and making accessories for your home or to give away as original handmade presents. We also offer classes on traditional crafts such as patchwork and quilting, knitting, and upholstery.

You can also learn basic valuable household skills in one of our plumbing courses for beginners and improvers.
