Prevention tips for businesses

The occurrence of arson can be reduced and its effects controlled if you are able to identify possible threats and put in place protection measures.

Firesetter intervention

The Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Firesetter Intervention Scheme began in 1996. It was recognised that fires started by youths of all ages is a problem across the county. Whether the result of a curious child playing with matches, a child seeking attention, or the malicious act of a troubled teenager, every fire poses a danger to both lives and property.

Click your trick

Is a set of four Halloween and Fireworks film. It has been produced in partnership with Thames Valley Police, the Fire Service and Trading Standards. It shows a group of five friends knocking on the door of a house, saying trick or treat'. The occupant tells them he is sorry but doesn't have any treats. The viewer will then be asked to click their trick.
