Transport proposals for London Road and Headington Road in Oxford.
Pullens Lane to Osler Road
We have now completed the phase of the scheme from Pullens Lane to Osler Road. The changes on the route include:
creating an outbound bus lane to allow buses to by-pass congestion
using traffic lights to give buses greater priority
installing a new traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing near Headington School
improving existing controlled crossings and providing a new pedestrian crossing island at Pullens Lane
improving bus stops and shelters
A 20 mph speed limit has been implemented over the whole route as part of the 20mph Speed Limit for Oxford Project.
Plans for the Osler Road to Wharton Road phase, which includes significant enhancements to the shopping area. Work is due to take place between April and November 2010.
