Finding care information in the area has been made a little easier with the Oxfordshire Care Services Directory
The Directory, which is published by Care Choices Ltd in association with Oxfordshire County Council, is packed with useful information about care options and comprehensive listings of care providers for residential care or care in your own home.
There is also guidance on paying for care and what financial assistance is available from the government.
To receive a free copy of the Oxfordshire Care Services Directory 2009 simply call the Social and Community Services Access Team on 0845 050 7666, email access@oxfordshire.gov.uk or complete this online contact form.
Helpline
Care Choices also operate a free helpline service which provides a shortlist of care homes that match the personal preferences of individual care seekers. The helpline, which can be reached on 0800 389 2077, offers more detailed information about care providers, relating to staffing ratios and training qualifications as well as answering specific questions, such as if a home will allow residents to keep pets.
This regularly updated website allows you to search all care homes in Oxfordshire for older people and adults with a physical disability, and gives more detail about the home and the type of care provided. It also gives information about whether the home has any vacancies and provides contact details.
