What is adoption?
Adoption is way of providing a loving home for children who can no longer be brought up by their birth family. When you adopt, you take on all the legal rights and responsibilities for the child. It’s a lifelong commitment and just like all parents it’s about working through the bad times as well as the good ones. Adoption is not always easy but it can be extraordinarily rewarding.
Choosing to adopt is not a decision to be taken lightly. As a result great care is taken in the training, assessment and support of all applicants. We must be sure that you are right for the role. Just as importantly, can you make a lifetime commitment to a child.
Everyone who adopts will get all the help and support they need to make things a success for themselves and the child.
