A community plan sets out a vision for how a community wants to develop, and identifies the actions needed to achieve it.
What is community planning?
Community plans allow communities themselves to develop shared ideas for their future. Local people use a range of different methods to find out more about local needs and to identify who can help meet those needs. For more information about different kinds of community plans in different areas please see the Community plans in Oxfordshire pages.
Communities will benefit from developing their own community plan in many ways. Because a community plan is developed in full consultation with the people living in the area, it is a very valuable document both for the community itself and for a number of other organisations.
A number of organisations in the county can support steering groups for community plans with advice, signposting and funding. The county council is committed to working with community planning groups; find out what information, advice and support we can offer.
A growing number of communities across Oxfordshire are developing community plans of one kind or another. We aim to make all these plans available through this site. We know that some plans and their reviews are still missing and encourage you to send us a copy of those that are.
