Getting care services
Care services for adults in Oxfordshire
We provide a range of services to enable adults to live safely in their homes for as long as possible. A care manager or social worker will talk to you to find out which services you are eligible for.
An assessment is the first step to getting care services. Before we can arrange care services for you, we need to assess your needs.
We follow the government's Fair Access to Care Services guidance to make sure all decisions on who receives care and support are made fairly, openly and consistently.
Depending on your financial circumstances, you may be expected to pay for or contribute towards the cost of your care.
Direct payments are cash payments we can give you instead of giving you a service.
We can provide you with contact numbers of accredited agencies who can provide personal and domestic help.
If you have a specific medical need, you may be eligible for health care services such as:
nursing at home (district nursing)
physiotherapy
care of your feet
medical equipment and assistance in using it
advice on incontinence
GP services.
Help and advice are available from GP surgeries, NHS Direct or local primary care trusts. Find and choose services.
