Couple with learning disabilities

Need advice on training, jobs and education? Want to find a day centre in your area? looking for sports clubs and facilities? Download the free Oxfordshire Disability Directory.

We believe that people with learning disabilities can lead a full and interesting life. Key points are:

  • people with learning disabilities find it harder to learn, but they can do so with help from other people
  • people with learning disabilities usually have them from birth or early childhood
  • some people have severe learning disabilities and will need a lot of day-to-day support
  • people with mild or moderate learning disabilities can live with much less help from other people.

We aim to

  • provide good quality flexible support and services in a variety of settings
  • enable people to be independent and have choice and control over their lives
  • offer people support to develop skills and prepare for work opportunities.
