Celebrate your wedding ceremony in the grounds of one of England’s most historic houses. Evolving from its origins as a medieval priory, Jacobean mansion and Prime Minister’s House, Wroxton Abbey is situated among 56 acres of manicured lawns, ancient trees, garden, lakes and woodlands. Ceremonies are held in the 18th century Doric Temple.
Situated in the picturesque thatched village of Wroxton St Mary, just five minutes from historic Banbury, this former manor house dating back to 1654 with its adjoining thatched cottages, offers a truly warm welcome.
On the doorstep, the thatched village of Wroxton with college and grounds, duck pond and historic churches is a must to discover.
There are two private event rooms available, the largest of which will accommodate 50 guests. For more informal receptions the Inglenook Restaurant will seat up to 60 and for the larger wedding, a marquee can be erected in the grounds.
Free parking is available along with 32 bedrooms, some of which are located in the 17th century wing, and offer further charm and character. For those special occasions there are four poster bedrooms and suites. A complimentary bridal suite is offered.
Free WiFi access has now been installed in the Broughton Room and is available in the hotel lounges and new wing bedrooms.
