Blue Badge parking scheme

The national Blue Badge Scheme enables people with severe walking difficulties who travel either as drivers or passengers to park close to their destinations.

Special transport service

Our team of trained drivers can provide transport to clients wishing to attend residential care homes, day centres and adult training centres. We can also provide information about other community transport schemes.

Motability

The Motability scheme was set up to provide safe, reliable personal transport for people with disabilities.

Shopmobility

Shopmobility provides manual and powered wheelchairs and scooters to help people with limited mobility to shop and use city centre facilities. It can be used by young or old no matter whether their disability is temporary or permanent.

Free car tax

Apply for a free disc at the Post Office, taking your Vehicle Registration Certificate or Vehicle Licence Application, as well as taking your MOT and insurance details.

To be eligible you must be claiming either of the following:

  • the higher rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • the War Pensioner’s Mobility Supplement (WDP).
