Staying in your own home
We provide a range of services to adults to enable them to live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
After you are assessed we will advise you about services which are available. We will discuss with you:

when it is needed
who will be providing the assistance
how long they will be with you
your religious and cultural needs
when the service will be reviewed.

How to obtain alarms to enable you to live independently.
Help and advice to prevent accidents and boost confidence.

Direct payments are cash payments we can give you instead of giving you a service. This enables you to have more choice and control in how you are supported.
Depending on your financial circumstances, you may be expected to pay for or contribute towards the cost of your care. Following a financial assessment, we will give you a clear idea of what you can be expected to pay and how the charges are calculated.
We can provide you with information, advice and contact numbers of accredited agencies who can provide personal and domestic help.
