Health and social care

We assess need and provide services to the people of Oxfordshire, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We aim to protect vulnerable people, enabling them to get the most out of their lives.
Self directed support: New ways of helping you to take control of your care and support.

Carers

One in ten people in the UK care for friends or family members. We offer support to people in caring roles. You can now carry out your own assessment for some services such as obtaining equipment to help you live at home and help for carers. More information.

Children and families

We have a wide range of responsibilities to assist and protect children and support their families.

Services are designed to help children remain with their families as far as possible and we offer assistance to families in difficulties or under pressure.

Health care

We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Oxfordshire's residents in partnership with a range of health and social care agencies.

Learning disabilities

Services and advice for people with learning disabilities, including transport, employment and care.

Mental health

Services, advice and contacts for people with mental health needs and their carers.

Older people

We provide a range of services for older people to enable them to live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

If people need more care than can be offered at home we may be able to assist with costs for residential or nursing home care.

Physical disabilities

Our services aim to promote independence and enable people to be supported in their own homes.
