The Government's Change for Children programme brings a significant change in the way services for children and young people are delivered. It affects everyone providing services for children, young people and their families.

Children and Young People's Plan 2010-2013
Oxfordshire’s second Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) is available to download here. The needs analysis and delivery plan are currently being worked on and will be published here once they are complete.

Creating better services
There are many organisations providing services for children, young people and their families. Change for Children and young people aims to create better services by ensuring that these organisations work together effectively to:
improve health outcomes for children and young people
increase the number of children and young people accessing sport, play, leisure, youth, out of school, community, cultural and arts activities
improve educational achievement and enjoyment at all key stages
improve support to schools and communities, promoting positive behaviour and emotional health and well being, thereby reducing the incidence of behaviour difficulties, bullying and youth offending
improve the early practical support for vulnerable families to prevent abuse, neglect and family breakdown
improve life choices of children looked after
improve services for disabled children and young people and their families

Change for Children affects anyone providing services for children, young people and families, whether they are the statutory, private or voluntary sector.
