Filming in Oxfordshire

If you wish to film on the public highway (including footpaths and pedestrianised areas) you need to obtain permission from our Network Coordination Team.

The Area Network Coordinators are our Filming Liaison Officers, advising on all aspects of filming on the highway. This includes:

• appropriate licensing
• liaison with other authorities such as Oxford City Council, Thames Valley Police or Oxford University
• parking permits and suspensions
• environmental issues such as noise and light pollution

We also provide information on planned roadworks and events which may impact on your filming schedule or location.

What to do if you want to film:

Please contact the relevant Filming Liaison Officer, and we will be happy to meet you on location to discuss your requirements if necessary. You will be required to submit a filming application form (see below), and all filming on the public highway requires a £10 million Public Liability Insurance policy as standard.
