The Oxfordshire Key

The Oxfordshire Key is a database of clubs, societies, voluntary groups, leisure groups, and other community venues.

Oxfordshire Key logoListing on the database is free. To be included in the Oxfordshire Key, an organisation must offer services or activities within Oxfordshire to people who live, work or who are visiting the county. It may, however, be a national organisation and need not be based in Oxfordshire. Commercial enterprises are excluded from the database. You can add your group's details online.

Records on the Oxfordshire Key database contain basic information such as contact details, location, scope of activities, opening hours etc. Links out to organisations’ own websites are encouraged, as it is not the intention to replicate organisations’ own information which might be more comprehensive than can be accommodated on the Oxfordshire Key.

We currently have two searches which use the Oxfordshire Key database:

The Oxfordshire Key is run by Oxfordshire County Council on behalf of all the local authorities within Oxfordshire, namely:

Anyone wanting to use the Oxfordshire Key database can visit any of these councils’ web sites. There you will be able to search the database and also submit new records or update details of organisations listed.

We hope that the Oxfordshire Key will gradually replace the many smaller databases maintained by local authority departments, as it contains data that is carefully checked and updated on a regular basis.

To contact the database’s administrators direct, please email oxfordshire.key@oxfordshire.gov.uk.
