Opening hours
In the light of plans for the redevelopment of Westgate, we can now confirm that Oxfordshire Studies will remain open in its current location until October 2008. Late night opening on Tuesdays and Thursdays is being discontinued; otherwise our opening hours will be preserved as far as possible, although these may be affected by staff absence and preparations for our move out of the Westgate building.
On Saturday 31 May 2008 Oxfordshire Studies will close between 12.45 pm and 2.00 pm. Otherwise the hours below will apply:

If you are unable to visit us we can offer a limited research service on specific local studies and family history topics.

Details of photographs, publications, documents and objects can be viewed online using Heritage Search - Oxfordshire County Council's database of heritage material.
From Oxfordshire Studies collections, Heritage Search includes:
- over 30,000 records of printed books, periodicals, microforms and electronic media
- over 60,000 images and records relating to 100,000 more
- records of 5,000 oral history recordings
- name indexes to Oxfordshire businesses and people, 1800-2006.
Oxfordshire County Council provides many local studies and family history resources outside Oxfordshire Studies.
