Firefighters are cutting a driver free from a mock car crash to highlight the dangers of driving when tired, following figures which reveal one in four deaths on trunk roads in Oxfordshire are caused by driver fatigue.

Firefighters in toll bridge takeover

A team of firefighters are taking over Swinford Toll Bridge in Eynsham to highlight to drivers the importance of checking their tyres after government figures reveal that 164 people have lost their lives over the last five years due to the condition of their tyres.

Trader sentenced for stocking over 800 counterfeit items

A trader has been sentenced to 12 months in custody to run concurrently for seven counts at Oxford Crown Court today, Friday 1 June, for stocking over 800 items of counterfeit clothing at his shop in Oxford’s city centre.
