Leader’s Blog: the memorial bell

The bell will toll on the day of a repatriation as the cortege approaches the garden. This will carry on a tradition originally started in Royal Wootton Bassett.

I know that an awful lot of hard work has gone in to raising the necessary finance and managing the project – the culmination of which will be the unveiling on Saturday, June 30.

Despite all the efforts that have been put in, let us hope that the bell never gets the chance to toll.
