Fire control service consultation

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Thames Valley Fire Control Service (TVFCS) consultation programme, which ran from 6 April - 6 July 2012.

Background

Plans for a joint control centre for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (OFRS) and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) have been approved.

Oxfordshire County Council Cabinet and Royal Berkshire Fire Authority gave the go ahead for the Thames Valley Fire Control Service (TVFCS) at separate meetings held on 17 July 2012.

The control centre is expected to go live in April 2014.
