On-street parking

Details of on-street parking in Oxford, Abingdon and Henley.

We deal with parking permits for Oxford's controlled parking zones, where on-street parking is only permitted in designated parking bays.

Parking charges and time restrictions for on-street parking vary across the county. Please take care to check signs or pay and display terminals for information when you park.

To avoid the traffic and parking charges in the city centre, why not use the Park and Ride?

For prices and locations of city centre car parks such as the Westgate, Gloucester Green and Worcester Street see Oxford City Council's parking pages. Outside the city centre there are several controlled parking zones with time limits or for those with permits.

You may purchase a pay and display at 6pm at the rate stated on each pay and display machine to cover your parking for the duration of the evening period.

Bank and public holidays

All parking restrictions apply - including on-street Pay and Display - unless stated otherwise on the parking signs.

Abingdon

40p for up to 1 hour
60p for up to 2 hours

In a residents' bay, when a resident's visitor's card is used the cost is 40p for a 24 hour period.

Henley

30p for up to 1 hour
40p for up to 2 hours

In a residents' bay, when a resident's visitor's card is used, the cost is 30p for a 24 hour period.
