Advice and information for parents applying for a place in a special school.

If you wish your child to be considered for a place with special educational needs (SEN) at a local maintained special school, or base, then this should normally be discussed at the Annual Review of their statement of Special Educational Needs. A visit to the school could be arranged directly. All pupils who attend a special school or base are legally required to have a Statement of SEN.

You can not apply for a special school online.

All pupils who attend a special school, or base, are legally required to have a statement of SEN. If you have any questions about special school placements, please discuss this with:
