Setting the council tax budget

How the council consults the public before setting its budget.

In setting our budget for the coming year we have sought to balance the cost of being responsible for good local services for Oxfordshire with keeping council tax rises as low as possible.

Consultation with residents is part of our budget setting process and we take into account the views expressed in residents' surveys as well as feedback provided in our budget consultation programme. A summary of the findings from our budget consultation exercises can be found on the council's eConsult portal.
