Safeguarding training

Safeguarding (Child Protection) training.

Safeguarding courses have been designed for participants who work with children and young people for approximately three days per month or more. They do not need prior learning. These courses are very popular and fill up quickly.

The Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children’s Board (OSCB) also offers general courses which early years staff can book. Its website explains which courses are suitable for different staff needs.

The Introductory eLearning course is for staff who have limited contact with children/young people and their families, who have no case responsibilities but who need some awareness of safeguarding.

Specialist Safeguarding courses (whole day) require completion of the OSCB eLearning Introductory course (or equivalent). It is for people who are lead or designated members for safeguarding in their organisation or who have a specific safeguarding responsibility within their job role. There are also refresher courses available.

How to book the courses

All courses can be booked via the  OSCB website.
