You can check the predicted departure times for your bus before you leave your home or office by searching for your nearest stop on the Oxontime website or via the Oxontime SMS text service.
Oxontime predictions are updated every 30 seconds giving you live information to help plan your journey.

Bus stop displays
Passengers benefit from on street signs at more than 200 bus stops in Oxford and the surrounding towns and villages, displaying how many minutes until the next bus arrives. Bus operators are responsible for the timetable data used by the system to generate these predictions.
There are also displays at key interchange sites such as the Park and Ride car parks.
Other benefits
The bus operators get the benefit of automatic vehicle tracking from the same on-board equipment used to provide Oxontime data.
This enables them to be more effective in managing their fleets and help them avoid the bunching of buses on busy routes - measures to help with the provision of better bus services for the passengers of Oxfordshire. We also use the Oxontime equipment to provide traffic-light priority for buses at key road-junctions.
Who set this up?
Oxontime Real-Time Information (RTI) system is a working partnership between Oxfordshire County Council, The Oxford Bus Company, Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Thames Travel and our contractor Cloud Amber. Each bus company has made significant investment in on-bus tracking equipment and contributes to ongoing maintenance costs.
