Oxfordshire Partnership

Organisations from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors in partnership.

The Oxfordshire Partnership brings together organisations from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors to focus their efforts on those things that are important to people who live in, work in and visit Oxfordshire and, more importantly, to do something about them.

The partnership's main responsibilities are to develop a long-term vision for the county set out in Oxfordshire 2030 and a set of improvement targets that are agreed with the government (a local area agreement). The Oxfordshire Partnership is the county's Local Strategic Partnership (LSP). Each of the five districts in the county also have an LSP which we work closely with to deliver local priorities.

Oxfordshire 2030

Oxfordshire 2030 is the county's Sustainable Community Strategy and provides the main framework for all other strategies. It also gives direction for partnership working in Oxfordshire. The strategy outlines the long-term vision for Oxfordshire and identifies common priorities that partner organisations will work together to achieve in the short to medium term. These are delivered through the delivery plan and the Local Area Agreement.

Local Area Agreement (LAA)

The LAA is three year agreement between Oxfordshire and government in which we commit to deliver a number of priority outcomes such as reducing the amount of waste produced and reducing childhood obesity.

The partnership is now delivering its new local area agreement for the period 2008-11.

The Oxfordshire Partnership website holds a wealth of information about the partnership and Local Area Agreement including meeting papers, performance updates, strategy development project and much more.
