Getting Started
Before you fill in an application form online we recommend that you visit the school you want your child to attend.
You can do this by contacting the school directly to arrange an appointment
When you apply for a school place you will need the following:
Your childs date of birth
The names of the schools you wish to apply for. We highly recommend that you select 3 preferences
An email address in order to receive a response and
Your unique identifier number. This can be found in the letter we sent you
If you don’t have the unique identifier number you can still submit your online application
How to complete the online form
Go to www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/admissions click online applications and then apply online.
Before you start your online application you will need to register.
Do this by clicking on register now button and then enter your personal details.
When you register your password must contain at least 6 characters 2 of which must be numbers.
When you have completed the registration process we will send you an acknowledgment email.
Once you have registered you can log in using your email address and password.
and now that you have logged in you can start to make a new application for a school place.
Click the new application link and start to complete the form.
You can save your application and return to complete it at any time up to the admission deadline.
Once you are happy that all the information is correct press submit.
You can even edit a submitted application but you must then resubmit the form.
After you have applied what happens next
Once you have submitted your application we will process it and will contact you with an offer of a school place.
You will receive a letter and an email providing you with information on how to accept or reject the offer.
You can accept or reject your place online.
All dates and deadlines can be found on our School Admissions webpages at
www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/admissions
If you are not offered the school that you wanted you can place your child on a waiting list.
We strongly advise that you accept the place we have offered to ensure your child has a school to go to in September.
If your child has special circumstances such as a statement of special educational needs then please read the information on our website.
