These are exciting and challenging times in Oxfordshire. We have long provided many good services. We are determined to be an outstanding authority - one that provides excellent services and works effectively with partners and across service boundaries, one that is responsive to the public and a fun place to work. We are making strides in that direction.

The county council's political leaders and management team are committed to providing corporate leadership and to raising the performance of the authority. We have motivated and committed staff. All of our external inspections report significant progress. The change is tangible and energising.
