Extra special dance classes

Steps School of Dance and Fitness - dance classes for children with special needs and their siblings. All abilities and disabilities catered for.

S.P.A.C.E. (Supporting Parents and Children Equally)

Live in the Witney area, have a child with SEN and need a friendly ear? Go along for a coffee and a chat to S.P.A.C.E.

Aspergers over 16s group - Thame

There is a social group for people with Aspergers Syndrome over the age of 16 in Thame. Contact Paul Isaacs on 01844 202424 or email staypuft12@yahoo.co.uk

Speak out - Didcot

Supports parents that have children with Autism, ADHD, Aspergers and Dyspraxia. The aim of the group is to offer parents the chance to meet with other parents and share experiences.

Venue: Meets fortnightly, alternating between the Children’s Centre at Stephen Freeman School during the day and the Children’s Centre in Hilary Drive (opposite the Wave) during the evening.

Spectrum Girls: social group for girls with AS/HFA

Parent Lesley Zorlakki formed a social group for girls with Aspergers syndrome or High-Functioning Autism, covering the Home Counties area.

Thomley Activity Centre

Recreational facility on border of Oxon/Bucks for children and young people with disabilities, their families and friends. Specialist play equipment, Easter egg hunts, art & crafts, toys, games, ball pit, outdoor activities, bikes, swings and sensory room.

Thomley Hall Community Days

Open to all children (i.e. disabled and non disabled), their families and friends.

Guideposts Trust

School holiday schemes for 3-18 year olds with special needs and siblings. Activities are fully staffed and parents are not required to remain on site. Includes arts & crafts, music, drama, games and watching films. Outings into town, swimming and visits to attractions.
Cost: No charge for activities.
Venue: Springfield/Madley Brook School, Witney, and Bishopswood School, Sonning Common

In addition there is an after school club (term-time), 3pm-6pm, Witney. Charge applies

Caring with confidence programme

The caring with confidence programme is offering 7 free half day sessions in small groups for those who need support, access to information and contacts, and to reduce stress, guilt and isolation and improve their quality of life.
