Our Buy With Confidence scheme provides you with a list of reputable local businesses checked by Trading Standards.

Why use this list?

• Trading Standards staff have checked member businesses to ensure their trustworthiness and compliance with the law, this protects you against rogue traders and those may who rip-off their customers.
• You can search it easily online.
• See easily who is a member, each business has a certificate as proof, and uses the Buy with Confidence logo (above right).

How to add your business to the scheme

We have been recruiting businesses in Oxfordshire since April 2008 and more businesses are joining every week.

• About the scheme

Advantages include:

• independent recognition of your high business standards and increased consumer confidence in your business
• a place on the Buy With confidence website which currently enjoys over 50,000 views per month
• a membership certificate to display on your premises and a copy of the logo for use on your business documentation and advertising material
• assistance in resolving consumer disputes should they arise.

Membership fee

There is an annual membership fee which is payable on submission of your application:

• 1-5 employees £105.73 incl VAT
• 6-20 employees £158.59 incl VAT
• 21+ employees £215.42 incl VAT

The scheme is not run for profit and this contribution allows us to develop the scheme and to advertise in the local media.
