The downloadable walk information is colourful, friendly and easy to use, providing a simple map of the walk and easy-to-follow directions. The downloads also include information about path surfaces, widths and gradients for those in wheelchairs.

West Oxfordshire
Witney Lakes, Witney
A lakeside path with extensive water views and abundant bird life.

Witney Meadows, Witney
A path through quiet meadows beside the River Windrush. The meadows are bounded by the mill lade to the west and River Windrush to the east. The flower-rich meadows are at their best in May and June and are cut for hay later on in the summer to decrease fertility and encourage a species-rich flora.
Cotswolds easy countryside walks
The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty's Voluntary Wardens developed a collection of 15 walk descriptions and maps to mark their 40th Anniversary. They called the collection 'Walks on Wheels’. The walks help people with different mobility needs to explore the quiet country paths, villages and market towns in the Cotswolds. The collection is available from the Cotswolds AONB website.
Cherwell
Daeda's Wood, near Deddington
The path provides glimpses of the River Swere and views of rolling countryside. This peaceful riverside site was bought and planted by the Woodland Trust in 1996. It contains a mixture of tree species including ash, oak, alder and various willows. In spring it is alive with bird song.
St Mary's Field, Kidlington
A walk from St Mary's church in Kidlington across open meadows to the River Cherwell.
Spiceball Park and Oxford Canal, Banbury
A network of paths providing choice of route length and a range of attractive landscapes including canal side, riverside, formal and informal parkland.

Brasenose Woods, Oxford
Paths pass through attractive deciduous woodland with many fine trees and abundant bird life. The wide 'rides' and hazel coppice in this wood managed by Oxford City Council add visual and wildlife interest.

Grandpont Nature Park, Oxford
The route follows paths around the nature park and alongside the River Thames. This pleasant riverside nature park near the centre of Oxford is managed by Oxford City Council. There is a range of lovely views, including the River Thames, open grassland and areas of scrub and trees all alive with a variety of birds.

South Oxfordshire
Cuttle Brook, Thame
This path passes through pleasant river meadows and is rich in wildlife. This quiet mixed nature reserve has ponds, woodland, marsh and river and is home to 200 species of plants and 40 species of birds.
Waterperry Gardens
This route follows a rural path from the hidden village of Waterperry to the River Thames. Fine views of Waterperry House, trees, meadow and river.
Chilterns easy countryside walks
The Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) offers a free pack of 11 walks in the Chilterns countryside that are suitable for people with impaired mobility and wheelchair, mobility scooter and push chair users. The walks are available from the Chilterns AONB website or by calling 01844 355500 to order a pack.
Warburg nature reserve mobility vehicle
Warburg nature reserve is owned and managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT). A Tramper mobility vehicle is available at Warburg for visitors to use. To book it, call the reserve on 01491 642001 to arrange a time. The Tramper is able to go around the popular one-mile 'Wildlife Walk', which encompasses woodland and grassland, and can also go along the restricted byway that runs along the valley bottom. More details about the reserve are available from the BBOWT website.
Vale of White Horse
Abbey Meadows, Abingdon
The path follows the peaceful Abbey Stream along the north side of the Meadows with glimpses across the Thames.
Easy walks along the River Thames
The Environment Agency and the Thames Path National Trail team have produced twelve easy access walks along the River Thames in Oxfordshire. Details of the walks, including downloadable maps and instructions, are available from the National Trails Thames Path website.
