Carers

One in ten people in the UK care for friends or family members. We offer support to people in caring roles.

Help for carers

Caring for someone can be very isolating. We offer advice and relief to carers.

What is a carer?

If you look after someone with a physical or mental illness or disability, a learning disability or frailty who needs support to live at home, then you are a carer. The care you provide is not paid or provided through a voluntary organisation. Find out how to apply for care services.

Young carers aged under 18
